Any idea about using agglomerated ore as overliner in gold heap leaching (1 reply)

We are not sure the stability of the heap if we use agglomerated ore as overliner.

You said "use agglomerated ore as overliner"? Do you mean agglomerated heap leach over HDPE liners?

This can be achieved by mixing 5 to 10Kg/t cement with moisture added to form small pellets; these is best done on a drum agglomerator. They are very stable and it works well when the material is too fine for conventional heap leach. The amount and cement and water has to be tested first. As everything else proper laboratory investigation has to be carried out.
