Will aqua regia change gold cyanide into gold chloride if it is mixed with gold cyanide(AuCN) solution,

If not what will be the result?

The short answer is yes but you will liberate HCN and cause a potential safety hazard.  This is very dangerous.  Can you tell me why you want to do this conversion?

HCN concentration of 50 ppm (mg/cubic m of air) is an immediate danger to human life. HCN is also lighter than air.

This concentration can easily arise above a vessel in which acid is added to a cyanide solution. Whatever Seeker's reason - please don't do it.

Thanks for your immediate answer. I want to recover gold from gold cyanide solution. I have tried many methods including displacing gold with zinc dust. The gold recovery was never 100%. sometime back I tried to recover gold with the help of sodium hydro sulfite also. But that too was not satisfactory.Then I though if gold in gold cyanide solution could be changed to gold chloride with the help of aqua regia, it could be recovered with sodium metabisulfite and the recovery would be 100%.
I would be very grateful to you if you could suggest me some chemical that would precipitate hendred percent gold out of gold cyanide solution.

you should look also about the cost of having 100% recovery
use carbon but its efficiency is not 100%
