I have gold ore which I finely grinded to powder form. I then added aqua regia in it and let it complete the digestion process. Afterwards I filtered this solution twice to get absolutely clear liquid. I then added caustic soda in excess In it and let it settles down. I decanted off the clear liquid and added supersaturated solution of SMBS in it. A very dark brown precipitates appear in it which took a full night settle down. I decanted the above liquid and washed the precipitates several times with water which almost took hours to settle down after every wash. I then dried it get a dark brown powder. Can anyone tell me what this powder is and is it of any use?
