How can we separate siliceous content from CaCO3 ?

Input limestone is having 8-12 % SiO2 . Main objective is to reduce SiO2 < 2% through dry beneficiation methods .

By Froth flotation process it is easy to achieve this target in multiple flotation . But it require lot of water for processing , heat for drying etc . By & large heavy expenditure .

It may be possible to reduce silica content using screening. With some of these materials the silica is more difficult to grind and will stay in the coarser size fractions.

What is your target grind particle size distribution?

Thanks Robert . Actually target grind particle size is 10 mic . Any thump rule like which mesh size material will be having more silica like + 30 mesh or like that . I think for a certain type of limestone , based on hit and trial we have to find out the optimum mesh size .

Electrostatic separator is also a option ?

Lab test work required as this is ore dependent. You will need to grind and then do silica content X size fraction analysis.
If you are doing multiple stage grinding can size at intermediate stage, e.g., have seen this for roller mill product prior to feeding to ultrafine grind stage.
Have you completed any liberation studies on the ore?

Thank Robert ,
No liberation study not be done . I will do that & will check the silica content in both fractions .
