suction drum filter (1 reply)

We designed a plant for grinding rejected pellets with a ball mill and two hydrocyclone stages. The underflow of the secondary hydrocyclone with a solidity of 55-60% and D80= 70-90 microns enters the tank mixer and is dewatered with a filter drum.
One of the problems of our line is that the filter drum with a solidity of 55-60% does not have good suction, and we have very high moisture, and we have to use two vacuum pumps for one filter drum and the solidity of the underflow of the secondary hydrocyclone to over 70%. The filter drum can have good suction
In your opinion, friends, what is the reason for not suction the filter drum?
Because when we use the lower blaine concentrate in this line to increase the bilane, we don't have this problem, but when the reject pellet is used, the condition of the line is completely messed up.
Can the cause be considered the presence of bentonite in the pellet particles, which reduces the suction of the filter drum?
Do you have a solution for this problem?
