There is not a specific answer as it depends on your specific ore, ore mineralogoy, local water and other factors.  But practice has shown that nickel flotation takes place best in a moderately oxidizing (75–170 mV) and alkaline (9.2–9.7 pH) environment. Outside of these ranges performance (grade and recovery) drop off.
