I want to decide on which valves to install on flotation bank cells in our scavenger circuit. Each bank has three cells. I am looking at improving level control and circuit mass pull for better recovery in the circuit. Mill feed throughput is 70tph. Flotation feed density ranges between 40% - 55% solids. Which of the two valves will give me a better performance in the flotation circuit?

I would appreciate your technical input.

both have served me well. be sure to use siphon breaker on pinch.

Thanks David. I will take note of the syphon breaker.

David,

What does the siphon breaker do for the pinch style valve?

Both could be good, but I prefer Pinch valves due to the characteristic (dart valves tend to be linear or quick open) while a pinch valve is normally "equal percentage" and this one is better for control (30-70 % of range).
