Hello guys,

I have a question about gold flotation. In a gold flotation plant, grade of feed, before ball mill, is 0.5 ppm but grade in cyclone overflow is about 1.2 ppm. I appreciated if you help me about the mentioned  grade difference.

Also grade of ball mill discharge is higher than input feed.

Cyclone oveflow being higher than cyclone feed is entirely normal, and indicates that the most of the gold is in the fines, which is what you want.  As to ball mill, are any recyle streams also going?  How much diffeent is the feed vs discharge grade?  Are you accounting for mill retention time?
