Analytical Balance Weights

Analytical Balance Weights

Students' Analytical

WEIGHTS, Students’ Analytical—Brass weights are tall form, slightly conical, with fractionals of aluminum under glass cover. They are fitted in a well polished hardwood box, mahogany finished with hinged cover, velvet lined. Each set is supplied with a pair of forceps and with one each 5 mg. and 10 mg. aluminum rider.

WEIGHTS, Semi-Analytical—Adapted for student use and semi-analytical work. Made of brass, nickel plated, flat shape. Fractionals from 500 mg. to 50 mg. are of German silver; from 20 mg. to 1 mg. of aluminum, and are accommodated In individual compartments under a glass cover. In finely polished mahogany case, velvet lined with hinged cover. With forceps.

Metric, Medium Accuracy

WEIGHTS, Metric, Medium Accuracy—Flat shape of brass, with fractionals of sheet metal. More accurate than the weights ordinarily employed with Harvard trip and similar balances. Fitted in a polished hardwood box with hinged cover and forceps.

WEIGHTS, Metric, Medium Accuracy—Of solid brass, fitted in hardwood block. Fractionals are of sheet metal, and are retained in a compartment under a glass cover with knob. With forceps.

Analytical Balance Weights

WEIGHTS, Analytical, Class S, Double Checked, Becker—For highest precision work. Conforming to specifications and tolerances, U. S. Bureau of Standards, Class S. Gram weights of polished brass, lacquered; fractionals 500 mg. to 50 mg. of platinum; 20 mg. to 1 mg. of aluminum. In mahogany box, velvet lined, hinged cover. Weight block and fractional weight plate removable. Weight pockets marked with denomination of corresponding weight. Supplied with three 10 mg. aluminum riders, unless otherwise specified. With ivory tipped forceps.

WEIGHTS, Analytical, Class S, Becker—Accurately adjusted; compared with Class S Standards of the U. S. Bureau of Standards for analytical work. Gram weights of lacquered brass; fractionals 500 mg. to 50 mg. of platinum; 20 mg. to 1 mg. of aluminum. In polished mahogany box, velvet lined, hinged cover. Fractional weight plate removable. Ivory tipped forceps.

Metric, Medium Accuracy 1

WEIGHTS, Metric, Medium Accuracy—Brass weights only, polished and lacquered. In hardwood block.

WEIGHTS, Metric, Brass—Individual brass weights of sets Nos. 12715 and 12720. Weights up to 1000 grams are made from hard drawn wire, and are therefore more durable than the ordinary cast weights.

Metric, Fractional

WEIGHTS, Metric, Fractional—Weights from 500 mg. to 50 mg. are of German silver; from 20 mg. to 1 mg. of aluminum. Contained in a polished hardwood box with sliding cover, each weight in a separate compartment. With forceps. Range 1 mg. to 500 mg. with duplicates of 2, 20 and 200 mg. weights.

WEIGHTS, Metric, Fractional—Of German silver and aluminum, similar to those supplied with set No. 12750. Range 10 mg. to 1 gram. In cardboard container.

WEIGHTS, Metric, Fractional

WEIGHTS, Metric, Fractional—Individual precision milligram weights. Usual form. Conforming to U. S. Bureau of Standards class M specifications, but having tolerance of ±.005 mg. In sealed boxes.

WEIGHTS, Metric, Fractional—Individual precision milligram weights. Usual form. Conforming to U. S. Bureau of Standards class M specifications, but having tolerance of ±.01 mg. In sealed boxes.

RIDERS, Metric—Error limit ±0.005 mg. In sealed box.

BALANCE PAN, Glass

BALANCE PAN, Glass—Accurately counterpoised for analytical work.

BALANCE PAN, Black Metal—Size, ¾ inch diameter.

BALANCE PAN, Brass, nickel-plated—With handle.

BALANCE REST, Glass—This is a glass disc about twice the size shown in the illustration. Used

underneath leveling screws to protect table, etc.

Metric, Assay, Precision

WEIGHTS, Metric, Assay, Precision—Made to conform to U. S. Bureau of Standards Class M specifications (for “weights used as standards) and for highest precision work. With tolerance ±0.005 mg. Prom 1 gram to 1 mg., with two 1 mg. riders. Weights from 1 gram to 50 mg. are of gold; from 20 mg. to 1 mg. of aluminum. In velvet lined Bakelite box with screw clamp cover.

WEIGHTS, Metric, Assay, Precision—Similar to No. 12810, but with tolerance ±0.01 mg.

WEIGHT, Assay Ton—Accurately adjusted for assay work. Of lacquered brass, polished. In mahogany box with forceps.

WEIGHTS, Assay Ton—Single weights of set No. 12830. Accurately adjusted for assay work.

WEIGHTS, Metric, Commercial

WEIGHTS, Metric, Commercial—Of iron; hexagonal form. Each weight is accurate to 50 mg. With duplicates of 20 gram and 200 gram weights.

WEIGHTS, Metric, Commercial—Individual weights of sets No. 12910.
